Fr. Josh Whicker MGL
Fr Josh is a priest with the Missionaries of God’s Love. Ordained in 2023, he brings over 15 years of experience in youth ministry across a number of different levels and contexts. Fr Josh has a particular interest in discipleship, Pastoral accompaniment, and leadership development within a youth ministry context. He is currently an assistant priest in the MGL Sydney Mission where he coordinates youth and young adults ministry.
Fr. Steve Fletcher MGL
Fr. Steve Fletcher is moderator of the Missionaries of God Love Brothers who has worked as a missionary for many years in Indigenous communities , youth outreaches, adult retreats, parishes, prisons and various faith formation and training settings. He has passion to see the church alive in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit fulfilling the call of Jesus to go make disciples of all nations.
Therese Mills MGL
Therese Mills has been with the MGL Sisters for 25 years, she loves being a sister and loves sharing about the love of God and the Holy Spirit. She also loves a good adventure and enjoys camping, fishing, scooting and eating tacos.
Dr. Joanna Howe
Dr Joanna Howe is a Professor of Law, former Rhodes Scholar and mother of 5. The author and co-editor of three scholarly books, she is considered Australia’s foremost researcher in the field of temporary labour migration, and was appointed in 2021 to the Ministerial Advisory Council on Skilled Migration and in 2022 to the expert review of the Australian migration program. A prominent prolife researcher, advocate and activist, Joanna seeks to make abortion unthinkable through her work on social media where she has amassed close to 100,000 followers across 5 platforms and reached 23.6 million people over the last 12 months. Since 2019, Joanna has been committed to becoming a saint, a call which she is muddling her way through, albeit not very successfully sometimes!
Fr. Ken Barker MGL
Fr Ken is the director of the Summer School and has been involved in youth ministry for many years. He loves to help young people open their lives to a new infilling of the Holy Spirit. He is the founder of the Missionaries of God's Love and has written numerous books helping lay people grow in their spiritual lives
Matt Humphreys
Matt Humphreys is currently working as the Pastoral Associate at his local parish of St John Bosco, Engadine, where he attends with his wife, Deborah, and four children. Involvements in the wider church include the Council for Christian Unity, The National Service of Communion for Charis, and Theological Studies with CTC Melbourne.
Christy Honeysett
Christy Honeysett grew up in Wollongong where she now happily resides with her husband of 18 years and three fabulous children. Christy has worked as a secondary teacher for ten years, and as a Catholic youth minister for ten years. Christy has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts), a GradDipEd (Secondary) and a Masters in Theology. She is an active member of her local parish, and has been a member of the Disciples of Jesus Community for over 20 years. In 2024, Christy was seconded to work in Staff Spiritual Formation for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong, and in 2025 will be studying Spiritual Direction and moving into new ministry adventures.
Fr. Adam Crouch MGL
Fr. Adam comes from Adelaide and is a Missionaries of God's Love Priest. He enjoys trail walking, travelling in the outback and sports. He is currently living and ministering in the Darwin Dioceses and the Chaplin to St Martin de Porres Catholic Aboriginal Community.
Steph Sullivan MGL
Stephanie is in her fifth year with the Missionaries of God’s Love Sisters currently living in Melbourne. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Theology and enjoys cooking traditional Italian food.
Ben and Eliza McCabe
Ben and Eliza lecture in literature, philosophy, and theology at Augustine Academy, where they promote the integration of faith and reason. They are passionate about helping young people become critical thinkers who understand their faith and love the truth.
Fr. Dave Tremble MGL
Born in NSW, Fr Dave was attending a TAFE art course when impacted by God’s love made visible in Jesus. He was drawn to respond by entering into a way of consecrated life expressed in the MGL. After ordination he served at St Benedict’s in Canberra and Melbourne; and at St Martin de Porres Catholic Aboriginal Community in Darwin; and is currently in the Canberra MGL Formation House.
Candice and Brendan Lazaroo
Candice and Brendan have been married for 9 years, together for 15 years, and live in Sydney. They each have over 16 years of youth ministry experience and currently work as Catholic primary and secondary teachers respectively. Candice and Brendan share a passion for walking the journey with young people as they deepen their understanding of God’s plan for love and marriage and learn how to date with both purpose and integrity. Candice and Brendan are keen to share their journey with anyone who has the courage to ask the awkward questions about relationships!
Laura van der Linden
Laura has just graduated with Honours in English literature from the Australian National University, and has five years of youth ministry experience. She loves novels, yellow strawflowers, and critiquing secular academic ideas using secular academic vocabulary. Her favourite saints are Thérèse of Lisieux and Edith Stein.
Matt and Sulyn Leslie
Matthew and Sulyn Leslie have been married for 12 years. They have been involved in Christian ministry for over 20 years and more specifically Unbound Deliverance ministry for over 8 years. Matt has been the leader of DOJ Sydney North for the past 3 years and has qualifications in Counselling, Theology, Philosophy, Vocational Training. Sulyn has qualifications in Finance, Actuarial and Floristry. They both work in Insurance when they are not doing Christian ministry.
Rachel Fleurant MGL
Rachel Fleurant has been a sister with the Missionaries of God's Love Sisters for the last twenty years. She has completed a Diploma in Spiritual Direction and was the Formator in her community for the last 6 years. She loves accompanying young people in vocational discernment and is involved in the vocational promotions of the MGL Sisters. In her spare time, she loves travelling, cooking, walking in nature, and enjoying good coffee with friends. Her secret to living joyfully is to encounter the Risen Jesus every day in tiny things and big moments throughout the day.
Louisa Daniels
Louisa is a wife, mum, musician and youth minister, depending on which minute you ask her. She works at St Declan’s Parish Penshurst coordinating the Youth Discipleship Small Group Program and the Worship Team. She has been working in youth ministry for various schools, parishes, dioceses and organisations throughout her career, as well as serving the church as a musician with Gus & Iggy. She lives on coffee and grace and is just happy to be here.
Selina Hasham
Selina Hasham is CEO of Harvest Journeys, a pilgrimage company that encourages transformation and renewal through sacred journeys of faith. Selina has also worked in communications for the Church for 15 years and is a member of Sydney South Disciples of Jesus.
