Please keep the sleeping areas quiet during the afternoons. Some people may need extra sleep for health reasons. There is to be no noise after lights out at 10.30pm. All dorms and corridors must be quiet during these times to enable people to get enough sleep.
If for any reason you are in need of blankets, sheets or a pillow, or have spares you can offer, please see the Hospitality Team:
Emily Crossland (m: 0407 576 850) – Mt Carmel or Ethan Morson (m: 0490 860 252) – Carmel House.
Please refer any accommodation problems or questions to them.
First Aid
If you are in need of medical assistance there are First Aid Officers who can assist. Contact Janelle Hussein (m: 0409 241 618) and store this number in your phone in case of emergency.
For critical matters please refer to the emergency numbers posted near the first aid station or contact St Luke’s Medical Centre or Campbelltown Hospital. Simple items, such as band-aids and emergency sanitary items, are available at the First Aid station. If you get sick and need to rest, please advise your Group Leader immediately, so they can help attend to your needs.
Name tags
Each participant will be issued with a name tag. Please leave it on throughout the School so we can all get to know each other’s names. Also, this identifies you as a participant of the School.
Smoking, Alcohol & Drugs
Smoking is not permitted indoors or around entry ways. There are designated areas for smoking. Alcoholic drinks and drugs are also banned from the School. Anyone found breaking these regulations may be asked to leave the School.
Parking
There are designated parking areas for vehicles behind the building behind Mt Carmel Retreat Centre: please use them. Do not leave your car in the temporary parking zone around the Reception area. If you are staying at or visiting Carmel House, parking is available in the lower carpark in the spaces provided, on the grass at the lower level or the upper level of grassed area. Please only park in these areas and not anywhere else on the grounds or near the buildings. Ask one of the Registration or Hospitality team if you do not know where to park your car.
