Code of Conduct
Summerschool 2023
Thank you for registering for Summer School at the Mt Carmel Retreat Centre (8-15 January 2023). For your registration to be finalised and accepted please take time to read and agree to the Code of Conduct.
As a participant of the Summer School I agree to:
1. Follow the rules and regulations set in place by the organisers of the event
2. Respect and uphold the Catholic ethos of the event and conduct myself in a
Christian manner through my language, dress and behaviour
3. Pay the registration cost to secure attendance and meals
4. Take responsibility for all personal belongings for the duration of the event
5. Fully participate in the event activities, including attending the program, small group and large group sessions
6. Respect the safety and security measures of the site by following all directions provided by the Mt Carmel Retreat Centre
7. Ensure the venue remains clean and tidy, by following all the directions laid out by the Mt Carmel Retreat Centre
8. Respect the Covid-Safe behaviours outlined by the venue and communicated through announcements and signage
9. Not leave the grounds during allocated session times
10. Observe that accommodation areas are restricted to those who have booked and paid for use of the accommodation spaces
11. Respect communal and private prayer times of participants of the event
12. Manage my own transport arrangements to and from the event
13. Agree that I may be photographed and/or videoed whilst at the event and the organisers may use this material for purposes related to the Summer School
Special Notes:
a) There is a Zero Tolerance Alcohol and Drug Policy for Summer School. This must be observed and respected at all times. This includes consumption on the grounds or being present at the event having consumed alcohol or drugs. Failure to abide by this will result in being asked to leave the event.
b) Any person(s) under the age of 18 are not to leave the Mt Carmel Retreat Centre grounds during the event without seeking special permission from the organiser.
If the Code of Conduct is not upheld, the organiser reserves
the right to remove a participant from the School.
