Summer Nights 2022 Theme
"Hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
ROMANS 5:5
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
JEREMIAH 29:11
JEREMIAH 29:11
It’s been a difficult time these past two years to be separated from our friends and family, to have had experiences taken away from us and opportunities lost. When uncertainties abound, there is a temptation to give in to doubt, fear and loneliness. But we are a people who trust in the Lord and have sure hope in the One who will never let us down. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have “a future full of hope” (Jer 29:11), and we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us in love (Romans 5:5).
In the midst of the chaos of these times, we are called to place our hope in the Lord. Now is the time to come together and claim who we truly are - brothers and sisters, not strangers. Sons and daughters, not orphans. Children of God who each have a future filled with promise, joy and hope to share.
"Hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
Due to the restrictions of the pandemic, our plans to run some of our regular Summer Schools of Evangelisation have been disrupted. However, God has a plan to draw young people to himself, and give them a future filled with love and hope, and we will not let a pandemic interrupt those plans! Summer Nights is an adaptation of the traditional Summer School experience and promises to be just as powerful and life-changing!
Summer Nights is an outdoor, non-live in event that allows us to gather as a Christian community and turn our attention to God and his will for our lives, whilst ensuring the safety of all as a priority. Come and join us for Summer Nights 22!

The Summer Schools of Evangelisation run by the Disciples of Jesus Community are truly amazing experiences to be a part of. They engage, uplift and equip people to 'make disciples of all nations'. They've certainly helped me to know, worship and love God. I highly recommend them.

I only went to one and it changed my life. Before SSE my faith was almost irrelevant to me... But good people, great fun, and some serious moments of encounter with God changed my whole perspective and suddenly Jesus was part of my life again... and the best part of my life. All thanks to the SSE experience.

One of the great things about Summer School is that the mix of formation, prayer, Sacraments and sense of community allows for an amazing retreat experience unlike any other. There is a sense of purpose to each and every day and I know that I come out the other side changed for the better. I highly recommmend SSE!
